Duties And Functions
- Develop and execute training programs to improve strength, endurance, and overall fitness of clients or athletes.
- Monitor and evaluate clients’ performance and progress, providing necessary adjustments to training plans.
- Educate clients on effective exercise techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of training sessions and client progress.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant SCC experience (waivers possible for veterans, military spouses, or specific internship/assistant experience).
- Current NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC certification.
- Current BLS certification.
Requirements
- Any of the following:
- A citizen of the United States
- A noncitizen national of the United States
- A lawful permanent resident
- An alien authorized to work in the United States
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)
- Strong understanding of strength and conditioning principles.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills to instruct and encourage clients.
- Ability to adapt training techniques to individual needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may not typically include supervisory roles but involves directing individual or group training sessions.
Work Environment/Condition
- Training conducted in diverse environmental conditions, including outdoor settings with varying climates.
- Ability to work in spaces with potential exposure to noise and movement-related hazards.
Physical Demands
- Must be capable of lifting weights up to 45 pounds and performing physical activities under various weather conditions.
Pay
$32.70/hr
Schedule
Yearly professional development pay rate of $500
