Street Team Event Staff - Kansas Speedway

Kansas Speedway, which opened in 2001, is located in Kansas City, Kansas. The track hosts two NASCAR Cup Series races, the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the ARCA Menards Series, along with over 200 event days each year.

About the role

Promotions Ambassadors are part of the Marketing Street Team, assisting the Event Marketing Department with activities and events that promote Kansas Speedway. This position runs through Kansas’s NASCAR Race Weekend, September 25-27, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically interact with and educate the public on Kansas Speedway history, information, and ticket opportunities.
• Load and unload the Kansas Speedway Promotional Car.
• Ensure the display is appropriately supplied with promotional materials and giveaway items, and is neat and organized.
• Actively collect prospects for future email campaigns.
• Attend in-market events to maximize sales opportunities.
• Be an expert on the products and services offered by Kansas Speedway.
• Stay educated on NASCAR and sports industry customer care standards.
• Conform to all safety regulations.
• Assist in the setup and teardown of displays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Post-high school education or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional work ethic, strong desire to succeed, eagerness to learn, professionalism, and a passion for the sports industry.
• Competitive nature and a contagious positive attitude.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft applications and daily email use.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Must pass the company driver’s screening to drive company vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license and must be 21 years of age.
• Reliable transportation to and from the track location.

Special Position Requirements

• Position requires travel, evening, and weekend hours as needed.
• May require some out-of-town and overnight travel.
