ParkX Bar Sweeper Operators keep streets and public rights-of-way clean and attractive in assigned zones. The role demands safety awareness, attention to detail, and a professional, courteous demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Operate street-sweeping vehicles to remove trash, debris, leaves, and other materials from assigned routes.
- Follow safe operating practices, traffic laws, and site-specific protocols.
- Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Complete daily exterior cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed by the Senior Operations Manager, Janitorial.
- Arrive at the assigned location before shift start in approved ParkX uniform.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure proper use of cleaning tools and equipment.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with property staff, residents, clients, and visitors.
- Support management teams on special cleaning or maintenance projects as requested.
- Keep machinery and supply storage areas organized and hazard-free.
- Complete end-of-shift documentation and ensure smooth handover to the next shift.
- Monitor inventory and report needs for additional cleaning materials or supplies to management.
- Notify management of any maintenance issues or unsafe conditions in exterior areas.
- Follow assigned cleaning schedules and checklists.
- Participate in team meetings and stay updated on operational changes related to site cleaning and maintenance.
- Cover for teammates during absences and support other exterior zones as needed.
- Be available to work weekends and after regular hours, especially during events or peak seasons.
- Uphold ParkX values and comply with company policies on attendance, uniform, and conduct.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with no major violations.
- Availability to work outside regular hours and weekends during events.
- Outgoing personality with the ability to engage diverse individuals and build strong relationships.

Virginia compensation range: $16 USD – $17 USD per hour. New hires typically start below the top of the range; actual pay is based on individual circumstances and organizational needs. Eligible employees may participate in a discretionary annual incentive program tied to individual and organizational performance.
