STREET MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT (Airport Maintenance Assistant) - Non-CDL License - Range 7 / ENG
About the role
This position is represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers (Local 302) and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Union. The department responsible is Maintenance & Operations, and the hours of work are Monday to Sunday with varying hours. The location is 5701 Northwood Drive.
Responsibilities
- Performs manual work of an unskilled and routine nature for the Municipality of Anchorage's Maintenance and Operations Street Maintenance Department.
- Clears and removes litter, debris, snow, and ice.
- Performs tasks in clean-up and minor, unskilled maintenance of structures, equipment, and grounds.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid State of Alaska Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
- Physical capability to perform the work described.
- Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire.
