Stratus Developer (9140-1)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to develop, debug, and troubleshoot applications.
• Work with Unix/Linux internals, multi-threading, sockets, and IPCs.
• Apply design patterns and data structures/algorithms in software development.
• Utilize version control systems for code management.
• Analyze and solve complex technical problems in a highly complex environment.
• Work within the banking domain, specifically cards processing and payment brands like VISA and Mastercard.

Requirements

• 5–12 years of experience in relevant technical skillsets.
• 7+ years of experience in Unix/Linux basics and commands.
• Proficiency in C or C++ programming language.
• Expertise in Linux/Unix internals, multi-threading, sockets, and IPCs.
• Knowledge of design patterns.
• Knowledge of Stratus Platform/VOS operating system.
• Knowledge of SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, or other DBMS (preferable).
• Banking domain knowledge, including cards processing and payment brands (e.g., VISA, Mastercard).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience in debugging and troubleshooting applications.
• Hands-on experience with version control systems.
• Hands-on experience with data structures and algorithms.

Skills

• Good to have: Knowledge of POS simulators and payment brand simulators (e.g., VISA, Mastercard, Discover).
• Advantageous: Knowledge of Control-M, C++, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
• Ability to present and discuss technical information effectively.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and marketing skills for collaboration with users, senior management, and external personnel.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving in a complex environment.
