About the role
We are seeking an experienced Medicaid managed care professional to join our team as a strategic partner, deeply embedded within the Medicaid segment. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing Highmark's Medicaid strategy, with a particular focus on growth initiatives, product development, and both state and federal policy.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support key strategic initiatives across Enterprise.
- Role will vary depending on initiative, but will include elements of team leadership, problem-solving, data analysis, project management, communication, and implementation support.
- Participate on a portfolio of projects.
- Support the team in identifying, clarifying, and resolving complex issues critical to the success of the initiative.
- Support the identification of initiative impacts with other strategic initiatives to ensure alignment of the overall strategy.
- Help develop standard analytics and processes to use in leading various strategic initiatives.
- Play a role in shaping the culture and skill set of the organization.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- Required Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related field, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.
- Preferred Master’s Degree in Business, or related field.
- Required 5 years of experience in Strategic Planning or related work experience in Business or Healthcare or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 2 years of consulting experience (external or internal) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Preferred 6 years of experience in payer, hospital system, or care delivery industry.
- Experience influencing change in complex organizational systems.
- Medicaid Managed Care Experience.
