Strategy & Ops Lead, 3PX, Private Pricing Programs & Experiences
About the role
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Strategy & Operations Lead to join the Private Pricing Programs and Experiences (3PX) team. In this role, you will lead complex, highly visible efforts that help the organization make meaningful progress toward high-impact goals. You will dive into data to understand business trends, connect dots across the organization to uncover the holistic story, and drive measurable action. You will own strategic planning and goal-setting cycles and help produce plans presented to senior leadership. You will drive and orchestrate key reporting mechanisms such as business/goal reviews and cadence of insights for the VP audience. In addition, you will tackle special projects driving mechanisms and workstreams for cross-functional efforts.
Responsibilities
- Own strategic planning and goal-setting cycles and hold the pen on strategic plans and goal proposals presented to senior leaders
- Drive key reporting mechanisms inclusive of monthly goal updates and recurring business/goal reviews
- Deepen the broader organization’s business understanding through deep-dive analyses and delivery of documents/reports on focused topics
- Craft executive communications and reports for senior leadership including being the conduit between deep analytics reporting/dashboards and packaging up for business decision-making
- Strengthen organizational cohesion and effectiveness by driving mechanisms/workstreams for cross-functional efforts
- Support senior leadership with other projects and initiatives as needed
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience performing data analysis using MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Preferred qualifications
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience in problem solving and delivering results, or 4+ years of Amazon experience
- Experience engaging and influencing senior executives, demonstrating a strong familiarity with decision-making processes in enterprise customers
- Experience with solution-selling methodologies, or experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership, or experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, or experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Effective communication of complex concepts through written and verbal communication
- Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translating the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in managing and troubleshooting network
- Experience running an effective operational excellence program
- Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience working with Excel, reporting tools, and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau
