Job Overview

Impact Advisors is seeking a dynamic and motivated Outpatient CDI Physician Education Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving healthcare transformation through innovative solutions. Responsibilities

  • Establish review methodologies, provider education strategies, and success metrics.
  • Work closely with physicians on change management initiatives.
  • Distinguish compliant provider education from leading documentation and partner with legal and compliance stakeholders.
  • Analyze RAF trends, recapture rates, and provider-level variation.
  • Interpret audit findings and translate data into action plans.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
    • Experience Requirement: 5-7+ years in CDI, coding, or risk adjustment, 1-3+ years specifically in outpatient or ambulatory CDI.
  • Certifications/Licenses:
    • Licensed clinical background (i.e., RHIA/RHIT, RN, MD/DO, NP, or PA), CCDS-O (Outpatient) preferred credential, CCDS, CDIP, or CRC accepted with strong outpatient experience.
  • Skills And Competencies:
    • Experience designing and scaling outpatient CDI programs.
    • Demonstrate understanding of outpatient CDI workflows, including risk adjustment, chronic condition capture, and annual wellness visits.
    • Understanding of CMS risk adjustment rules and audit defensibility, ability to distinguish compliant provider education from leading documentation.
    • Experience with ambulatory EHRs (Epic preferred).

  • Travel: Open to travel.

Pay

The compensation for this role includes a salary range of $120,000-$220,000. For salaried positions, this role may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus.
