Role Overview

Apply your Clinical Documentation Integrity expertise to evaluate and improve documentation quality, coding accuracy, and revenue integrity workflows used in advanced healthcare systems.

What You Will Be Doing

• Review and assess clinical documentation improvement outputs, physician queries, and coding recommendations
• Evaluate inpatient and outpatient documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with clinical standards
• Support DRG optimization, CC/MCC capture, and severity of illness documentation accuracy
• Develop and oversee physician query processes aligned with industry guidelines
• Monitor CDI performance metrics such as case mix index, query response rates, and DRG accuracy
• Provide structured feedback on AI-generated documentation improvement suggestions
• Collaborate with clinical, coding, and compliance teams to address documentation gaps

Who You Are Looking For

• Experienced CDI professional with leadership experience in clinical documentation programs
• Strong knowledge of MS-DRG methodology, ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, and CC/MCC hierarchies
• Expertise in physician query processes aligned with AHIMA and ACDIS guidelines
• Clinical background with ability to interpret complex medical records and documentation
• Familiarity with CDI tools and electronic health record systems
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation review skills

Role Details

• Compensation: $84 per hour
• Work style: Fully remote, flexible independent contract
• Duration: Ongoing project-based engagement
