About the role

The Strategy and Management Summer Program is a 10-week internship providing an exclusive preview of the elite, two-year development training program (recognized in 2023 with a Brandon Hall Group Gold Award for most innovative or unique talent acquisition program). This program prepares teammates to become future corporate leaders at Bank of America by offering direct experience in Digital Technologies, FinTech, Strategy, Innovation, and Management.

As part of the Bank of America Strategy & Business Ventures team, you will work in our innovation function, driving strategic growth initiatives across core business units. You will gain exposure to multiple parts of the business, learning how to develop, test, launch, and operationalize new strategies to better serve clients. The program includes a comprehensive training curriculum taught by Bank of America and industry experts, designed to enable general manager capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Build an in-depth understanding of the business, client needs, and opportunities by gaining exposure to senior leaders and supporting high-priority strategic initiatives spanning functions such as strategy, product management, marketing, sales enablement, digital, operations, payments, and analytics.
  • Contribute to initiatives that shape industries, leveraging Bank of America’s reach (10 billion annual client interactions, 4,000+ financial centers nationwide) and expertise (4,000+ patents; 6,000+ teammates are inventors).
  • Work with diverse, high-performing project teams to develop strategic recommendations for key internal leaders; test, launch, and operationalize new capabilities as part of these recommendations.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or bachelor’s direct-to-master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between November 2027 and August 2028.

Skills

  • 3.2 minimum GPA preferred.
  • Pursuing a major in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Consulting, Mathematics, Data Analysis, FinTech, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.

Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • 1st shift.
  • Travel on an as-needed basis.

Primary program location is Charlotte, NC, with limited availability in Boston, MA, and New York, NY. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. If offered a full-time opportunity following the internship, geographic flexibility regarding work location is required.
