About the role

Strategy is not a product, it’s fuel. It’s about making a set of decisions before the razzle and dazzle of creative and design gets going. The decisions are based on key insights about the people we are aiming to influence. Strategy sets the scene and steers the way for a project’s creative and strategic direction. Supporting a small but mighty Strategy department, the role will suit a self-starter and someone who can adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Writing, attention to detail, and project management skills are a prerequisite, as is someone who is a confident communicator. The tasks and nature of the work will vary between internal projects linked to pitches, proposals, and industry research. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can write well, with creativity and the ability to edit their own work and adapt styles based on the task at hand. Creative collaboration skills and lateral thinking abilities are a bonus.

  • Proof, edit, and elevate written work including pitch decks and proposals
  • Upkeep of templates, proposal library, and creative documents in the department database
  • Research client sectors, event audiences, and general industry landscapes
  • Participate in proposal response structure meetings including: creative and strategic approach, ideation, team roles and responsibility assignments, team check-ins, final review sessions, etc.
  • Support content development in relation to internal and wider Global Creative Studio meetings

Requirements

  • Working towards a degree in Advertising, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Understanding of different marketing techniques and the creative process
  • Prior events experience or working within a creative environment is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Excellent project management skills, including multitasking, prioritization of tasks (i.e., time management), attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong research and organizational skills
  • A self-starter who is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take direction well
  • Graphics/Photoshop experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to adapt to different situations, personalities, and requests
  • A calm and flexible approach to handling pressure and stress
  • Creative problem solver
