Strategy Consultant - Utilization Management and Medical Policy

About the role

We are seeking a Strategy Consultant to drive improvements in Utilization Management and Medical Policy operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial and operational models: create data models to assess medical policies, quantify impacts, and track performance.
• Hands-on data manipulation: extract and transform healthcare data for analysis and insights.
• Cross-functional collaboration: partner with data teams to secure assets and translate data into actionable recommendations for clinical and operational stakeholders.
• Execute tactical strategies: independently define and implement day-to-day steps aligned with strategic goals.
• Manage strategy projects and provide expertise on healthcare metrics.
• Mentor team members and develop analytical approaches.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Economics, or related field with 2+ years of post-grad experience in strategy consulting or healthcare internal strategy roles, or a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Preferred experience in healthcare strategy, healthcare economics, or clinical analytics.
• Proficiency in data modeling tools (SQL, Python/R, Power BI/Tableau).
• Deep understanding of healthcare datasets, clinical terminologies, and operational strategies.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills.

Schedule

This is a remote role, ideally suited for someone near Pittsburgh, PA, with minimal travel required.
