Strategy Associate III-Strategic Initiatives

About the role

Strategy at JPMorgan Chase shapes, accelerates and delivers the firm’s most important strategic priorities. As a member of the Transformation team within Global Technology, you will partner on strategy and execution of technology programs that are of strategic priority to the Global Technology COO organization and to JPMorgan Chase, working closely with senior leaders across the firm.

Responsibilities

• Design and drive solutions to accelerate decision making, scope complex problems, identify major issues and actionable opportunities.
• Support the execution and delivery of large‑scale programs, including building frameworks, developing content, formulating hypotheses, conducting analyses, and creating solution roadmaps.
• Assist the design and implementation of transformation frameworks (processes, roles, tools) to enable repeatable and predictable delivery.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to technology transformation initiatives.
• Drive continuous process optimization and institutionalize lessons learned across transformation efforts.
• Analyze source‑system data to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Develop deep, trust‑based advisor relationships with key stakeholders across management, Global Technology and the Lines of Business to drive program delivery and achieve organizational alignment and buy‑in.
• Own development of concise communication materials for senior management, including executive‑level audiences.
• Identify implications and “so‑whats” of outputs, data and analysis and drive the narrative via charts and reports for executive consumption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technology strategy consulting and/or leading delivery of large‑scale strategic technology initiatives.
• Significant experience with PowerPoint for executive‑level documents and Excel‑based models for analysis and planning.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to influence and tailor complex concepts for senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Knowledge and fluency in enterprise IT management and technology concepts including tech infrastructure, organization, product operating model, budgeting, talent, and risk management.
• Proven entrepreneurial drive to identify opportunities for impact and influence others to take action.
• Proven ability to structure and scope complex problems and apply a range of analytical and qualitative tools to develop solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced data analytics skills, including extracting and modeling data from source systems and interpreting data for reporting purposes.
• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools for analysis.
• Financial services background experience (preferred but not mandatory).

Compensation

The base salary is determined based on the role, experience, skill set and location. Eligible roles may receive commission‑based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in cash and/or forfeitable equity, awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.
