Strategic Initiatives Associate
Overview
Pathstone is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Associate to partner directly with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). This role is not a traditional administrative one—it is a force-multiplier position designed to elevate the CMO’s effectiveness by creating space for high-impact strategic work and ensuring alignment, clarity, and momentum across key initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Enablement & Prioritization: Create and protect space for the CMO to focus on strategic priorities, triage and manage communications, and prioritize initiatives, requests, and opportunities.
Initiative Management & Alignment: Drive preparation, alignment, and follow-through across key initiatives, translate ideas into structured plans, timelines, and actions, and coordinate across teams to ensure progress and accountability.
Meeting & Decision Support: Prepare agendas, briefing materials, and pre-reads for critical meetings, capture decisions, insights, and next steps, and ensure follow-through.
Information Flow & Systems: Build systems to organize priorities, surface key insights, and reduce noise, synthesize information across conversations and workstreams into clear actions, and maintain visibility into interdependencies across projects.
Qualifications
5–10+ years in a Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or strategy, consulting, or similar role
Experience supporting senior executives in fast-paced environments
Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to operate independently
Systems thinker who brings structure to complexity
Pay Transparency
Pathstone’s expected starting base compensation range for the position as of the time of this posting is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. The actual base compensation selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) experience, education, specialty and training. The successful candidate(s) may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus award.
