Strategy and Operations Lead
About Us
Cornel Health is an early-stage technology company building the operating system for independent primary care. We give Nurse Practitioners (NPs) everything they need to start and run their own practices — from billing and insurance infrastructure to AI-powered workflow automation. We’re positioned to be the fastest growing in-person primary care company ever.
Cornel Health was co-founded by Lava Sunder and Anne Gifford and has raised a Series A backed by top investors, as well as the founders of DoorDash, Commure, Grow Therapy, Kindred, Culdesac & more.
About The Role
We’re looking for a Strategy & Operations Lead to work directly with the cofounders on the highest-leverage priorities across the company. This is a true generalist, 0→1 role: part strategy, part execution, part systems-building. You’ll help shape how Corner Health grows—from launching new business lines to improving operational models to unlocking entirely new ways for providers and patients to engage.
What You'll Work On
- Drive company-level strategic initiatives across product, operations, and growth
- Lau and scale new business lines — from wellness and cash-pay services to longitudinal care programs and new patient engagement models
- Build and refine operational systems that improve efficiency, quality, and provider success
- Run 0→1 experiments to validate new opportunities and accelerate learning
- Analyze business performance and develop insights that shape strategic decisions
- Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and growth to ensure initiatives land in practice
- Develop scalable playbooks that turn successful experiments into repeatable systems across our network
- Own special projects that don’t have a natural home but matter deeply to the business
- Create clarity in ambiguity and push initiatives from concept to execution
What You’re Like
- Hard-working, kind, curious, and energized by solving ambiguous problems
- A high-slope generalist who can move seamlessly from strategy to execution
- Comfortable working directly with founders and senior leaders
- Able to design systems, not just run processes
- Excited to work with providers and understand the realities of care delivery
Experience
- 4-6 years of experience in a high-performing environment (early-stage startup, top-tier consulting, high-growth ops, or similar)
Location
Based in Los Angeles or excited to relocate; this role is in-person in Santa Monica
Benefits
- Competitive salary & equity compensation
- Top-tier health and dental
- Health & wellness stipend
- Eligible to participate in company-sponsored 401(k) plan
