Strategic Sourcing Specialist II

Job Duties

• Conducts advanced analytics and scenario-based outcome assessments to inform business operations regarding potential Total Cost of Ownership impacts.
• Optimizes product and service expense and pricing through supply market analysis, value analysis, benchmarking, and utilization assessment.
• Conducts competitive analysis and bidding, develops, and executes negotiation strategies with suppliers, and implements required contractual agreements for assigned product and service categories.
• Evaluates all contractual agreements, proposals, and negotiates commercial terms, including business risk and adherence to guidelines.
• Monitors post-contract expenses to ensure category and contract compliance, generating a semi-annual pipeline of savings opportunities through renegotiation, Request For Proposal, consolidation of current spends, and assisting customers with procurement of non-savings-related needs.
• Performs in-depth analysis on each assigned request to ensure accurate and thorough financial comparisons, enabling comprehensive value-based decisions.
• Facilitates Value Analysis meetings, as required.
• Develops complex bid solicitations, proposal reviews, and vendor negotiations to optimize contractual terms, including pricing.
• Ensures all bidding activities are conducted in an open, fair, and transparent procurement process, adhering to ethical standards.
• Demonstrates the ability to persuade, influence, and negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts with vendors to meet the organization’s strategic objectives.
• Identifies stakeholders, suppliers, team members, and other vendor organizations, building and maintaining relationships aligned with a segmented supply strategy, and developing a supplier performance management process.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
