Job Summary

Quincy Compressor seeks a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our company mission, vision, and values by ensuring maximum value for Quincy Compressor in purchasing agreements. Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, this role involves sourcing process management, contract negotiation, supplier performance evaluation, and providing purchasing support.

Responsibilities

  • Operational elaboration of Quincy’s purchasing policy focusing on quality, price, and delivery performance
  • Achieve purchasing goals through sourcing activities, including sourcing process, price control, proposal analysis, negotiating improved value, awarding & implementing contracts, managing existing contracts, supplier performance reviews, and resolving invoice issues regarding pricing deviations
  • Prepare, understand, and present spend analysis of assigned categories/suppliers, identifying opportunities and risks
  • Provide prompt and accurate purchasing support to internal customers
  • Follow-up on supplier quality performance (in conjunction with the SQA engineer) and delivery performance (in conjunction with the logistic engineer)
  • Analyze and report on market conditions and trends affecting purchased products
  • Ensure suppliers comply with Quincy business practices and develop themselves according to quality and logistics demands

Requirements

  • Preferred degree in Supply Chain Management, Business/Applied Economics, or related field
  • At least 3 years of Purchasing experience required
  • Experience in production environments and with commodities (metals, stampings, castings, paint, electronics, wood etc.) preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Profound knowledge and clear communication of English
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in Microsoft environment with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Highly detail-oriented
