Strategic Sourcing Manager
for section headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. The instruction: use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. We need to include sections only when posting has real, specific content. So we need to parse the posting. We have "About The Team" content: description of role, responsibilities, etc. Could map to "About the role" maybe. But we also have "About The Role" with essential duties list. That's more like responsibilities. We have "Who you are" which is qualifications/requirements. We have "Preferred" which is preferred qualifications. We have pay ranges for certain states: that is Pay section. We have "This role has been categorized as a Remote position." That's schedule? Actually schedule maybe remote. Could be Schedule? But we only create Schedule if posting states schedule details. It says Remote position, description of remote work. Could be considered Schedule? Might be better to include a "Schedule" section with remote work details. However instruction: never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. It does state remote work details, so we can include Schedule. Benefits: posting mentions equity awards, competitive base salary, etc. It says "In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location." That's benefits. Also maybe other benefits not listed. So we can include Benefits section with that info. We need to avoid boilerplate like EEO, equal opportunity, scam warning, legal, etc. Remove those. We need to preserve all substantive information. We need to use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown fences. Let's extract sections: - About the role (or About The Team?). The instruction says use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can have sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to decide which content goes where. "About The Team" seems like overview of team and role; could be "About the role". We'll put that as
About the role
with prose. "About The Role Essential Duties:" is a list of duties; that fits Responsibilities. "Who you are" is requirements/qualifications; could be Requirements. "Preferred" is preferred qualifications; could be Qualifications or Skills? Usually Qualifications includes required and preferred. But we have separate sections: Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We could put required qualifications under Requirements, preferred under Qualifications, and maybe skills under Skills. However the posting includes skills like negotiation, proficiency with software, etc. Those could be Skills. Let's map: - About the role: overview from About The Team. - Responsibilities: list from About The Role Essential Duties (the bullet-like sentences). We'll turn each sentence into - . - Requirements: mandatory qualifications from "Who you are": 5+ years experience, etc. We'll list each as
- . - Qualifications: preferred qualifications from "Preferred" section: list each as
- .
- Skills: maybe we could extract skill statements from both required and preferred? But we already have required and preferred covering many skill statements. Could also create Skills section for things like negotiation skills, proficiency with sourcing software, data analysis, Tableau, Excel, AI, etc. However to avoid duplication, maybe we put skill-related items under Requirements/Qualifications. But instruction: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So maybe we combine Requirements and Qualifications into one? But we have separate headings allowed. However we could decide to not create Skills if content overlaps.
Better: Use Requirements for mandatory, Qualifications for preferred, and Skills for specific skill proficiencies (negotiation, software, data analysis, Tableau, Excel, AI). But many of those are already in mandatory/preferred. To avoid duplication, we could still list them but that would repeat. Might be okay but instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; not to invent or summarize away detail. Duplication is not prohibited but could be considered redundant. Safer to not duplicate.
Thus we can assign:
- Requirements: mandatory experience, negotiation skills, proficiency with sourcing and contract management software, ability to flex, desire to dig deep, resourceful, process management mindset, experience developing sophisticated source selection processes, ability to influence partners, strong organizational/customer service/interaction skills, outstanding verbal/written communications, ability to communicate complex concepts, sense of urgency, attention to detail, ask why, curious, problem solver.
- Qualifications: preferred: experience leading indirect sourcing for People/HR, deep experience sourcing enterprise-scale People/HR tech solutions, proven ability to act as strategic consultant, track record partnering with executive-level People/HR and Tech stakeholders, experience driving complex cross-functional People/HR sourcing initiatives, Bachelor's degree or equivalent, equivalent combination of education/experience, preferred certifications list, preference for candidates with sourcing/negotiation experience in banking/regulatory environments (mortgage, title & escrow), knowledge of Procurement tools like ZIP, Workday Strategic Management, strong Tableau, Excel, AI proficiency with advanced data analytics and reporting.
- Skills: maybe we could omit if covered. But we could still create Skills for things like negotiation skills, process management, influencing, communication, data analysis, Tableau, Excel, AI. However those are already in Requirements/Qualifications. To avoid duplication, maybe we skip Skills section.
- Benefits: equity awards, competitive base salary (already in Pay), maybe mention remote work flexibility? That's schedule.
- Pay: base pay ranges for specific states, plus note about equity awards, note about not below exempt threshold.
- Schedule: remote position description.
We need to ensure we don't create sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
Now we need to format.
We'll produce:
About the role
... prose from About The Team ...
Responsibilities
- ... ...
Requirements
- ... ...
Qualifications
- ... ...
Benefits
- Eligible for equity awards based on experience, performance, and location.

The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.
Schedule
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.
We need to ensure we didn't include boilerplate like EEO etc. We removed those. Now we need to extract the prose for About the role from About The Team paragraph. About The Team paragraph: "As a Sourcing Manager, you will drive the development and execution of complex sourcing strategies for high-impact categories, managing spend and supplier relationships, collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver value with strategic suppliers, drive innovation, and ensure alignment with Zillow’s business goals. We'll put that in. Now Responsibilities: list from About The Role Essential Duties. Let's extract each duty sentence. The text after "Essential Duties:" includes many sentences separated by spaces. We'll split into logical items.
