Strategic Sourcing ManagerLong Beach, CA | $140,000–$165,000 Base | Bonus and Benefits An established biopharmaceutical organization is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to own complex sourcing and procurement activity while developing a buyer team. The role combines hands-on negotiations and contracting with the opportunity to improve processes, reduce cost, and support a highly regulated, mission-driven operation.What You’ll Be DoingManage daily sourcing and purchasing priorities across indirect categories and operational services.Develop RFQs and RFPs, evaluate proposals, support awards, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize contracts.Guide buyers on supplier onboarding, purchase orders, contracting, and performance expectations.Support capital projects and cross-functional initiatives requiring procurement expertise.Track procurement performance, monitor budget activity, and lead measurable savings and efficiency improvements.Provide procurement guidance to stakeholders at remote company locations.What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree with 10+ years of progressive purchasing/procurement experience.2+ years of direct people-management or supervisory experience.Strong RFQ/RFP, supplier-selection, negotiation, contract, and indirect-spend experience.Familiarity with GMP/cGMP expectations and controlled processes.Demonstrated SOP or procurement-policy writing experience.ERP proficiency and availability for a minimum four-day onsite schedule.Preferred QualificationsBiotech, biopharma, pharmaceutical, cell-therapy, medical-device, or CDMO background.Experience supporting capital purchasing and vendor-managed inventory.Track record of documented savings and supplier-performance improvement.Why This OpportunityAutonomy to improve procurement processes and supplier strategy.Leadership responsibility with meaningful cross-functional exposure.Stable commercial-stage life-sciences platform with a patient-first mission.Competitive compensation DOE This is an excellent fit for a sourcing leader who wants both strategic influence and hands-on ownership in a regulated environment.MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
