Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the roleYou'll build and run the operational backbone of procurement for a data center operations and Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) business. You'll own end-to-end vendor operations (NDA coordination, contract administration, vendor onboarding, budget tracking, payment processing, and ongoing vendor management) while building the function itself: standardized processes, governance, approval workflows, and the IT systems a newly formed organization needs to scale. The second pillar is strategic planning for key data center hub facilities (fabrication centers, monitoring centers, and staging and warehouse facilities) from business case through execution readiness, with the opportunity to lead the build-out. What you'll doOwn end-to-end vendor operations for data center and EaaS execution: NDAs, contracts, vendor onboarding, budget tracking, payments, and vendor communicationEstablish standardized procurement processes: sourcing, vendor qualification, purchasing, contract administration, approval workflows, and operational handoffsBuild the procurement infrastructure for a newly formed organization: policies, procedures, governance models, vendor management frameworks, approval matrices, and IT system requirementsPartner with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial so vendor engagement, contracting, budgeting, and payments run efficiently and in complianceLead strategic sourcing across key categories: software vendors, Energy Management System / Power Management System (EMS/PMS) providers, power system vendors, data center infrastructure suppliers, building solutions, and operational service partnersLead planning and execution readiness for hub facilities: fabrication centers, monitoring centers, staging and warehouse facilities, and other operational support centersDevelop business cases, execution plans, timelines, resource requirements, operating models, and implementation roadmaps for hub facility setupTrack procurement and vendor risks, close process gaps, and deliver executive updates, vendor status reports, and dashboards What we're looking for7+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, operations planning, vendor management, or related business operationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent experienceHands-on experience managing vendor onboarding, NDA/contract coordination, purchase and payment workflows, and budget trackingA track record of designing procurement processes, governance, and operating models from the ground up in a fast-paced or newly formed organizationProven ability to build new processes, operating models, and scalable business infrastructure in a fast-paced or newly formed organizationProject management across multiple workstreams, vendors, timelines, and stakeholders at onceClear analytical and written communication — structured reports, executive summaries, process documents, and implementation plansAdvanced Excel, PowerPoint, and project-tracking tool proficiency; able to travel as needed for vendor engagement and facility planning Nice to haveBackground in data centers, energy solutions, power systems, building solutions, infrastructure, or software/technology industriesExperience with software vendors, EMS/PMS providers, power equipment suppliers, or data center equipment suppliersPrior procurement or vendor management for data center development, infrastructure deployment, or energy projectsExperience standing up procurement/ERP systems, vendor portals, or workflow automation toolsFacility planning or operational hub setup — fabrication centers, monitoring centers, warehouse/staging, or command centersFamiliarity with Energy-as-a-Service, BESS, distributed energy resources, or grid services business modelsMBA, PMP, CPSM, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma a plus
