Job Description

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst leads strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier relationship management activities, cost optimization efforts, and contract negotiations across assigned categories. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve total cost of ownership, enhance supplier performance, ensure quality and supply continuity, and support broader business objectives.

Serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, the Strategic Sourcing Analyst leverages advanced sourcing, procurement, and category management expertise to identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and deliver measurable value. The position requires strong analytical, negotiation, project management, and relationship-building skills, along with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing projects from opportunity identification through implementation.
  • Conduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and spend analysis to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage competitive bidding processes, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service-level agreements with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics to ensure sourcing strategies meet business requirements.
  • Maintain sourcing documentation, contracts, supplier records, and savings tracking.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Procurement, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management.
  • Experience leading sourcing events and supplier negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
