Strategic Sourcing Agent
Essential Job Functions
- Collaborate with corporate departments and stakeholders to strategize, negotiate, and process new vendor contracts and renewals
- Seek to identify cost savings and drive value from existing vendor spend
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current and future needs to identify opportunities to consolidate spend, minimize rogue spend and capture process efficiencies
- Analyze spend data to identify opportunities for vendor rationalization, buying channel and preferred vendor compliance, etc.
- Submit requisitions in the Purchasing system on behalf of other business units as necessary
- Administer various vendor programs across the company
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to identify sourcing projects to complete throughout the year
- Gather feedback from Business Units to address vendor performance and other areas, as needed
- Engage with preferred vendors to obtain quotes, and negotiate pricing and contract business terms
- Address and resolve vendor issues as it pertains to contract obligations, including service levels, product / service quality, and pricing
- Provide support to Business Units regarding purchasing processes, policies, best practices, contracts submittal, etc.

- Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements
Education / Experience
- College degree, BS / BA in purchasing, supply chain, business, or equivalent
- Proven experience as a sourcing/purchasing agent or relevant role
- Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices
- Oracle Cloud experience is a plus
- Purchasing certification is a plus
