Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will partner closely with sales leaders and internal stakeholders to shape competitive proposal strategies for complex electrical projects. The position will focus on developing technically sound, cost-effective solutions that support win rates, project profitability, and risk-managed deal execution. You will also collaborate across global and local teams to evaluate opportunities, align pricing with project needs, and present recommendations that balance customer requirements with business objectives. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $100,500 – $160,800 annually Responsibilities Collaborate with strategic account sales managers to identify critical-to-quality factors Lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with stakeholders Develop innovative solutions using the company's product portfolio Propose options that lower costs and enhance project profitability Evaluate project risks to align with company standards Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred 10+ years in electrical distribution or a related industry; 5+ years in sales and project quotations In-depth technical knowledge of electrical distribution products Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center projects Proven track record working with global and local cross-functional teams Proficiency with electronic communication tools Willingness to travel 2-3 times a year Benefits Choice between two medical and dental plans Company-paid life and disability insurance Parental leave up to 6 weeks 401(k) savings plan with company contributions 11 paid holidays and a permissive vacation policy Employee discount program and wellness resources Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
