Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a targeted go-to-market strategy focused on acquiring and growing large-scale ag retail and grower accounts.
- Conduct annual business reviews and needs assessments, leveraging insights to build multi-year account strategies that drive profitable growth.
- Cultivate executive-level relationships and position CHS as a trusted, long-term business partner.
- Build, manage, and advance a robust pipeline of opportunities while maintaining accurate forecasts and revenue projections.
- Identify customer challenges and deliver innovative, value-driven solutions across Agronomy, Energy, Grain, and Animal Nutrition.
- Utilize strong financial acumen and negotiation skills to develop competitive proposals and close high-value business opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, agronomy, grain, energy, and animal nutrition teams to deliver seamless customer solutions.
- Drive alignment on large opportunities by proactively communicating customer needs, timelines, and operational requirements.
- Ensure successful execution by partnering with dispatch, agronomy operations, and scheduling teams to remove barriers and enhance customer experience.
- Gather and communicate customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market trends to influence business strategy and decision-making.
- Present pipeline performance, growth opportunities, and key customer developments to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Act as a catalyst for growth by identifying new revenue streams, expanding customer partnerships, and maximizing the full potential of CHS's offerings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and/or GED with 7+ years of sales, business development, or strategic account experience in ag retail or related sectors.
- Ability to travel up to 75% across assigned regions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven success in new customer acquisition and large account management.
- Experience coaching others on pipeline discipline and forecasting.
- In-depth knowledge of large grower operations and decision-making processes.
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to a continually changing business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

The role is remotely based with a home office. While exact location is flexible, ideal residency would be within the broader territory, such as: Sioux Falls, SD, Yankton, SD, Pierre, SD.
