The Strategic Initiative Business Analyst (Operations and Policy Analyst 4) plays a critical role in the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW). This position supports the Director’s Office in overseeing large, complex, cross-agency initiatives, aligning teams on goals and outcomes, identifying risks and barriers, and bringing forward solutions that enhance ODFW’s operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities

- Help teams stay aligned on goals and outcomes.
- Identify risks and barriers and bring forward solutions that strengthen ODFW’s operational effectiveness.
- Guide organizational change, support adoption of new systems or processes, and facilitate cross-functional alignment.

- Evaluate system-level problems, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
- Manage government-to-government tribal relations for ODFW, ensuring consultation, communication, and partnership are carried out responsibly and lawfully.
