For a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Strategic Human Resources Leader to advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience in the northeast and New England regions.
Location: New York, NY – US-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available.
About the role
You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives. The position offers the opportunity to influence culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement people strategies that align with business goals for two large offices
- Act as a consultant and advisor to senior leadership, shaping workforce plans and ensuring compliance
- Lead strategic projects that enhance culture, engagement, and leadership effectiveness
- Manage HR integration in regional acquisitions, embedding people and culture considerations
- Cultivate relationships with executives to understand their priorities and drive HR initiatives accordingly
- Establish and execute a talent strategy that connects to business goals and improves employee experience
- Lead and develop a team of Strategic HR Business Partners to foster a collaborative team culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline; advanced degree or HR certification preferred
- 10-15 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in leadership over high-performing teams
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Leader supporting senior executives and driving strategic HR initiatives
- Ability to create and execute HR and talent strategies aligned with business objectives
- Demonstrated ability to act as a trusted advisor and partner to senior leaders
- Comprehensive knowledge across all HR disciplines including talent management and employee relations
- Strong data analysis capabilities with the ability to derive insights
Pay
$200,000 – $250,000 annually
