About the role

The evolving requirement of the U.S. strategic missile programs have required the continual development of highly capable advanced composite materials such as Carbon/Carbon (C/C) and Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) to deliver differentiated missile performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CMC and C/C composite materials for missile applications.
  • Conduct material testing and analysis to ensure compliance with program requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new materials into missile designs.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate them into material development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in composite materials research and development.
  • Experience with CMC and C/C composites.
  • Strong understanding of material properties and testing methods.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in materials characterization techniques.
  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
