Responsibilities
- Own the internal economic framework for strategic deals, providing clear commercial recommendations to support the account team
- Lead the commercial structuring of deals, including pricing and capacity, informed by competitive benchmarks
- Shape deal strategies and economic frames that enhance win probabilities and protect margin integrity
- Monitor and manage concessions, ensuring adherence to margin-dilution thresholds and escalation protocols
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination among teams like Revenue Accounting, Legal, and Pricing during deal processes
- Coach account executives on negotiation strategies and proper deal positioning using the Strategic Engagements playbook
- Participate directly in customer discussions, bringing financial and commercial expertise to influence outcomes
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic finance, deal desk, commercial operations, or investment banking with a solid record in structuring complex deals
- Experience handling large enterprise deals (>$75M TCV), including net-new acquisitions and capacity expansions
- Capable of executing deals independently with minimal oversight, showcasing strong decision-making skills
- Proficient in financial modeling, capable of developing complex economic models and analyses to support deal recommendations
- Understanding of SaaS pricing models, billing, and revenue recognition policies in a cloud environment
- Comfort engaging with senior stakeholders (CFO, COO, CIO) about commercial negotiations and structures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex concepts in straightforward terms
