Strategic Finance Senior Manager
We are seeking a Strategic Finance Senior Manager, based hybrid out of our Tacoma, WA office, to report to the Vice President, Corporate Finance. The role involves supporting the Company’s IPO preparation efforts, investor relations strategy, and strategic finance growth initiatives such as M&A. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the preparation of private investor relations materials, including mock public earnings release documents.
- Collaborating with Finance, Product, GTM, and Strategy leaders to shape, articulate, and manage the Company’s investment story and support Investor Relations (IR) in maintaining a strong presence in the investment community.
- Collaborating with the Accounting and Legal departments to prepare for investor relations requirements for public company readiness, including materials to be included in public filings.
- Supporting IR with its relationships with external partners, investors, and financial institutions during the IPO process or potential financing events.
- Led/supporting financial modeling, due diligence, and business integration for potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.
- Leading financial modeling of strategic investments and preparing related business cases on an ad hoc basis.
- Aiding in preparing reports and analyses for company shareholders/owners.
- Supporting the preparation of ad hoc analyses for senior leadership addressing any questions from the Board of Directors.
- Leveraging AI tools to streamline and automate strategic finance workflows, accelerate analysis, and enhance the development of executive, Board, and investor presentations.
- Monitoring industry and competitor developments for the purpose of maintaining updated benchmarks, comparing the Company’s performance to such benchmarks, and shaping the Company’s investment story to investors.
- Participating in or leading corporate strategic programs, involving cross-functional collaboration and finance-led execution.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of related and relevant experience.
- Prior experience with M&A, integration, portfolio company investment management, and investor relations.
- Experience in a B2B tech/software/SaaS environment, with a deep understanding of enterprise software business, particularly with a solid background in subscription models for both cloud and on-premises scenarios.
- Knowledge of traditional B2B SaaS/Software business models, metrics, and related KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to streamline and automate workflows, synthesize complex data, and accelerate creation of high-quality executive presentations and decision-support materials.
- Demonstrated expertise in finance and strategic planning, including core competencies in financial modeling and analysis, capital budgeting, investor relations support, and familiarity with corporate accounting.
- Outstanding executive presentation skills which enable highlighting key drivers in consumable formats.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization.
- Strong business acumen coupled with an executive presence.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; highly proficient Excel and PowerPoint including financial modeling skills using large datasets with multiple data sources.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance.
Preferred:
- Prior experience as a software research analyst, investor, or operating partner in a private-equity environment, or investment banker.
- Experience in driving post-acquisition integration or investment value creation.
- Tableau, Adaptive Planning, and/or Oracle Financials experience.
