Strategic Communications Manager

About the role

We are seeking a skilled communications professional to join our Employee Communications team. The Strategic Communications Manager will play a crucial role in driving internal communications strategy, planning, and messaging.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the implementation of internal communications strategy and messaging to increase employee engagement and message clarity.
• Create and deliver internal communications content across various channels, including email updates, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations.
• Work with key stakeholders, including executives, to align internal communication with business objectives and company culture.
• Identify and implement innovative communications tools and techniques to enhance internal communications effectiveness.
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, gather engagement data, analyze trends, and report insights to communications leadership.
• Maintain an enterprise content calendar to ensure timely, relevant, and organized internal communications.
• Collaborate with business enablement function leaders, including HR and Marketing, for planning and content development for meetings and other internal events.
• Partner with all members of the Employee Communications team to proactively identify, create, and publish content, while supporting editorial planning and long-term scheduling of communication initiatives.
• Support critical organizational change initiatives by developing multichannel campaigns to boost engagement and adoption.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in internal, employee-facing enterprise communications within a large corporation, with emphasis on Human Resources, culture, and change communications.
• Experience in the Engineering & Construction industry or B2B space is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc., for communications activities.
• Proven experience managing and maintaining internal communication tools, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, Workshop, Divvy HQ, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience in internal, employee-facing enterprise communications within a large corporation, with emphasis on Human Resources, culture, and change communications.
• Experience in the Engineering & Construction industry or B2B space is a plus.
• Fluency in leveraging AI platforms such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude etc. for communications activities.
• Familiarity with performance reporting methods and tools including data visualization such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining internal communication tools, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, Workshop, Divvy HQ, etc.
