Strategic Buyer

About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Buyer responsible for procurement, cost negotiation, and subcontract management of materials and services from approved suppliers to support delivery and budget goals.

Key Duties

• Partnering with internal teams to understand business needs and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Leading RFQ processes, analyzing supplier quotations, and applying cost negotiation strategies to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Managing supplier communications, resolving commercial, quality, and performance issues, and ensuring supplier agreement compliance.
• Executing purchase orders, maintaining documentation, expediting deliveries, and supporting procurement operations and cross-team initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related fields.
• At least 8 years of experience in supply chain management or procurement.

Working Conditions

• This role operates mainly in an office setting supporting aerospace activities, with 10–25% travel to domestic and international supplier sites.
• Overtime may be required during peak periods, with work hours ranging from 45–55 hours weekly.
• Proficiency in additional languages such as Japanese, Swedish, Spanish, or French is advantageous.
• Physical ability to visit manufacturing sites, lift up to 10 lbs, and adhere to safety standards is essential.
