Strategic Business Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Business Analyst with approximately 5-10 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, strategic business analysis, or a similar analytical role. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, profitability, pricing, and business-performance analysis experience and be comfortable working directly with senior/executive leadership. Advanced Excel is essential, along with strong Power BI/BI capabilities and ERP experience, preferably SAP. Experience within fragrance, beauty/cosmetics, CPG, specialty chemicals, ingredients, or a similar manufacturing/B2B environment is strongly preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position in Fort Lauderdale.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Analysis: Partner directly with the General Manager to support strategic planning, execution, and key business decisions; analyze business performance to identify trends, risks, growth opportunities, and recommended actions; build financial and commercial models to support investments, pricing decisions, customer strategies, and other business priorities; support annual business planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Commercial & Sales Analytics: Analyze sales performance by customer, territory, category, product, and salesperson; develop profitability analyses by customer, account, and product portfolio; support pricing strategies, growth initiatives, incentive programs, and business cases; evaluate new business opportunities and customer investments; support Sales leadership with pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and account planning.
• Financial Analysis: Partner closely with Finance to strengthen forecasting accuracy and profitability analysis; monitor gross margin, contribution margin, and operating performance; develop financial models to evaluate investment decisions and strategic initiatives; identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
• Business Intelligence & Reporting: Maintain dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting tools; ensure the accuracy and integrity of business data; present findings to senior leadership with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Cross-Functional & Process Support: Support demand planning, inventory optimization, and analysis of operational performance and customer service levels; participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives involving Sales, Finance, and relevant operational teams; leverage SAP, Formpak, and business intelligence tools to improve reporting, analytics, efficiency, and data quality; support digital transformation and continuous improvement projects.
