Strategic Advisory Services, AI Security Consultant (Remote)
About the role
The AI Security Consultant role is a primary contributor to delivering services focused on securing AI systems and applying AI tools to improve security processes. This role entails a strong focus on task-oriented activities, reporting, and supporting engagement leadership to ensure projects are performed on time and to our highest standards. This position also includes opportunities to contribute to thought leadership, methodology development, and other "back of office" tasks, as a secondary function of the role.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to service engagements focused on both securing AI systems and applying AI tools to enhance security operations.
- Assess, develop, and modernize cybersecurity programs in a proactive fashion to help mature the security posture of organizations prior to an incident.
- Perform technical analysis to identify and secure AI workloads.
- Perform threat modeling to evaluate the risk posed by new tools and architectures.
- Identify and develop use cases for automation and "agentification" of security workflows.
- Produce and ensure delivery of high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings to customer management.
- Identify and address emerging trends in AI security and AI engineering, drawing on both public and private sector perspectives.
- Contribute thought leadership and experiences to internal programs and teams.
Requirements
We don’t expect most applicants to have extensive experience securing AI systems or applying AI in security operations. Successful candidates will have an aptitude and passion to develop new skills, combined with at least 2-6 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Security Automation & Engineering: experience designing and implementing security architecture and orchestration projects to streamline workflows and improve security outcomes.
- Security Analysis / Operations: leadership or key delivery positions in organizations or on teams that focus on organizational security (such as SOCs, IR teams, etc.).
- IT / Security Management Consulting: leadership positions and ownership of relationships with organizational executives as a management or technical consultant.
- Security Program Development: personal contributions to the development, management, and implementation of a security program, helping an organization build, enhance, or recalibrate their plans for a successful future-leaning security program.
Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, specifically in fast-paced professional environments.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of customers and team members.
- Capable of completing complex tasks involving strategic analysis and development, without supervision.
- Desire to grow and expand cyber aptitude, technical awareness, and soft skills.
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to complete tasks for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Consistent positive work environment and attitude.
- Ability to travel to engage with clients, up to 30% of the time, often on less than three weeks' notice.
