About the role
The Strategic Accounts Relationship Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategic plans for managing and growing assigned client relationships. This role focuses on revenue growth and client retention, leveraging BNY Mellon's investment capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for managing and growing assigned client relationships.
- Serve in a consultative role, advising clients on achieving short and long-term strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with research sales teams at assigned client firms to provide guidance and support.
- Assist more senior relationship managers in managing larger or more complex client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with internal partners including affiliated investment firms, field sales, product management, marketing, business intelligence, compliance, and legal.
- Contribute to and manage various special projects and activities that aid the Strategic Accounts team in achieving and communicating overall business objectives.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, or a related field.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses are required.
- 4-6 years of experience in the investment services industry, preferably with U.S. intermediary clients.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively follow up and resolve issues.
- Broad knowledge of the U.S. wealth management industry and securities markets is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities, while also comfortable working in a team environment and sharing assignments.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in business, economics or similar advanced degree.
Skills

- Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
- Experience in client relationship management.
- Knowledge of wealth management and securities markets.

Pay
The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $209,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, the actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis, including experience and market location.
