Strategic Accounts Executive (Mid-Market)
About the role
We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Accounts Executive to join our Strategic Accounts team. This role will report to the Director, Strategic Accounts. This role is critical for retaining and growing Garner's mid-market (250 - 1,000 employees) employer clients by serving as their trusted strategic partner on plan design, cost trends, and performance.
Responsibilities
Own the process to retain and upsell Garner's small and mid-market employer clients (250 - 1,000 lives)
Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure clients receive an excellent experience and achieve expected results
Serve as the client's trusted strategic partner on plan design, bending cost trends, and driving plan performance
Establish and manage key strategic broker and client relationships
Monitor overall client health, anticipate strategic needs, and execute proactive plans to address key account risks
Partner with finance, product, data, and technology teams to deliver reports demonstrating Garner's value and ROI
Drive improved Net Revenue Retention and other KPIs for your book of business
Requirements
Deep health plan design and benefits knowledge, including experience advising employer clients on benefits strategy and cost performance
4+ years of experience in a commercially-oriented consultant/broker, account management, or sales role in the employee benefits space
A deep commercial focus with proven results of achieving retention and upsell targets year over year
A self-starter mentality with the ability to work in an ambiguous, rapidly evolving, and fast-paced startup environment
Excellent communication, presentation, and articulation skills
Demonstrated ability to solve problems in ambiguous strategic situations

Benefits
Compensation Transparency: The target salary range for this position (inclusive of Base + Commission) is $140,000 - $165,000.
Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.
In addition to base compensation, this role is bonus-eligible and eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k) with company match, flexible spending accounts, Teladoc Health and more.
Pay
The target salary range for this position (inclusive of Base + Commission) is $140,000 - $165,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.
Schedule
This position is available for individuals who are comfortable with remote work and occasional travel to HQ. Travel up to 10% of the time is expected.
