About the Role

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for representing the SkinMedica, DiamondGlow, and Latisse brands and promoting the product portfolio to targeted aesthetic customers within a designated geographical area. The focus will be on direct selling of products (physician-dispensed skincare and skin resurfacing systems) and executing pull-through programs/events to patients. This role involves leveraging key resources and collaborating with high-performance selling teams to maximize coverage of targeted customers.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage Allergan Medical’s resources to enhance adoption of the SKM Portfolio, including:
    • Non-surgical, non-invasive skin resurfacing equipment
    • Topical skincare consumables designed for the resurfacing device
    • SkinMedica product portfolio
  • Collaborate with Facial Aesthetics, Plastic Surgery, Coolsculpting, APCs, Marketing, and other Allergan sales forces.
  • Comply with required reports, requests, and compliance policies.
  • Effectively manage field assets and resources, including expense management, computer, and other allocated equipment.
  • Consistently achieve sales quota for skincare, consumables, and equipment.
  • Execute sales and marketing plans, including device placement and pull-through product promotions (device, consumables, and SkinMedica portfolio).
  • Create call plans across the product portfolio and demonstrate adaptability with multiple initiatives.
  • Demonstrate effective selling skills, including:
    • Performing Dermalinfusion treatments and educating customers on proper techniques
    • Consultative sales approach, pre-call planning, and handling objections
    • Presentation delivery with visuals, closing, and follow-up
  • Build loyal customer relationships through high-level interaction.
  • Call on and manage time with new and existing customers to educate on products, assess needs, place orders, and support events for pull-through.
  • Manage initiative execution across the portfolio, balancing device sales to drive skincare and consumable business.
  • Assess territory metrics to develop and implement business plans; demonstrate proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools.
  • Provide product samples as necessary.
  • Educate customers on device and product features through individual and group presentations/trainings.
  • Convey consistent differentiating messaging across the portfolio and demonstrate technical fluency in Allergan and competitive products.
  • Execute marketing plans and provide feedback to support strategic direction.
  • Adhere to compliance, travel, and expense policies.
  • Exemplify integrity, flexibility, and adaptability; demonstrate sound decision-making and good judgment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred; relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience, with business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) sales experience preferred.
  • Aesthetics sales background or related experience with a skincare company highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet safe driving requirements.
  • Analytical skills and strong business acumen.
  • Proven selling skills and strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong contract/negotiating skills and financial/budgetary experience.
  • Ability to travel and lift 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software skills.
