About the role
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining a healthy book of business for the Director of Business Development, while serving as the first-level of support to existing legal clients, at both the law firm and corporate levels.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an additional point of contact for clients, and is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and consultation services.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments throughout each phase of an engagement.
- Create and maintain executed Statements of Work at the outset of projects, ensuring accurate billing information for timely invoicing at the conclusion of projects.
- Responsible for all client communication, understanding client goals and interests and discussing project requirements with clients.
- Serve as a liaison between client, Sales Directors, and internal teams to ensure client expectations are met and managed through communication and efficient workflow.
- Creatively problem solve to improve current and new business development strategies.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships within existing accounts.
- Consistently follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with delivery, quality, and customer service.
- Education current and prospective clients on the sales process, including TransPerfect rates, justification for turnaround time, and competitor information.
- Work closely with production to ensure that all projects are handled appropriately with keen attention to detail for outstanding quality.
- Track new and existing revenue within assigned accounts by service type.
- Aid in sales support business development tasks (e.g. prospect and client research, meeting preparation, presentations, and quarterly reports).
- Compose or generate a variety of materials (e.g. SOWs, RFPs, sales reports memos, letters, etc.).
- Create project budgets and create proposals.
- Provide support to team members and perform other special projects or duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1 - 3 years of direct work experience in legal industry, account management, or the equivalent
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem solving ability and organizational skills
- Ability to work within a team and all levels of management
- Understanding of the legal industry, including eDiscovery and all phases of the EDRM
- Strong interpersonal and Effective time management skills
