About the role

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for owning a portfolio of ProService's highest-value clients, managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships, and driving retention above 94%. This role involves leading quarterly strategic consults, identifying growth opportunities, and resolving escalations.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of strategic accounts, tracking relationship health and coordinating internal support.
  • Lead quarterly strategic consults with each client, understanding their business goals and delivering measurable impact.
  • Identify and act on growth opportunities within your book, focusing on cyber cross-sell to deepen product adoption and increase client value.
  • Cultivate client advocates who generate qualified referrals, aiming for at least one new qualified meeting per month.
  • Coordinate with service, compliance, and specialist teams to resolve escalations and communicate sensitive issues directly with clients.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date account intelligence in CRM, tracking sentiment, engagement history, and risk signals.

Requirements

This role requires a proven track record of managing complex client relationships or high-value accounts, preferably in a consultative, B2B environment. Prior experience in HR, payroll, or PEO services is a plus.

  • Demonstrated success in managing client relationships and achieving retention and growth targets.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and navigating complex conversations.
  • Adept at using CRM as a strategic tool and prioritizing tasks effectively across a large portfolio.
  • Ability to handle sensitive conversations and deliver difficult news while maintaining client relationships.

Skills

Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Proactive engagement and a consistent drive to deliver results are key attributes.

Benefits

ProService offers a competitive salary range of $99,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include fully paid healthcare, 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, student loan assistance, employee assistance programs, and paid time off. Compensation is tied to performance, and there are clear paths for advancement within the Strategic Accounts track and into senior leadership roles.

Pay

$99,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Hawaii Kai, Oahu — Hybrid. Based out of the Hawaii Kai office, with a flexible hybrid schedule offering in-office days on Tuesday and Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday.
