About the role
The Wealth-Tech / Custodian Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is a client-facing role on the Wealth Management Platforms team designed to be the secondary point of contact for existing FinTech / Wealth-Tech and leading Custodian client relationships. In addition to supporting these critical client relationships, this SAM will work closely with three of WMP’s most experienced Senior SAMs to elevate the Invesco brand across these client firms, providing an incredible professional development opportunity for the qualified candidate.
The primary focus will be to support Custom Model and SMA product lines in US Retail as well as to support critical Custodian and TAMP platforms to provide product line access for the RIA marketplace.
Your Team
The WMP team manages day-to-day engagement with Invesco’s best client Partner Firms while acting as the primary relationship manager. The team constructs the business strategy for client Partners, negotiates business terms for impacting organic growth, and is responsible for the full integration of Invesco products onto client Partner platforms. The team works in direct partnership with Investment due diligence, WMI field distribution leaders, and Field Pro Buyers as a secondary client base, bringing the breadth of Invesco products and services to every external distribution partner.
Responsibilities
- Execution, education, and field adoption of the FinTech Firms business plan.
- Placement of Invesco products on Client Partner Platforms.
- Training of Field Sales teams about the FinTech ecosystem and how these partnerships impact sales and growth in Invesco’s critical few objectives (CFOs), especially in the RIA marketplace.
- Representation of Invesco at industry and client events to promote Invesco products.
- Negotiation of business contracts and financial terms to support organic growth and advisor education with Client partners.
- Dissemination of data to assist field sales with relevant and timely sales opportunities.
Qualifications
- Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in financial services with an emphasis on the RIA marketplace and broad knowledge of related job families (e.g., financial sales, strategic accounts).
- Keen interest in the growing RIA marketplace, with an emphasis on the technology platforms that serve this Advisor community.
- Ability to lead others in solving complex problems requiring significant initiative and independent judgment.
- Works independently, with guidance only in the most complex situations.
- Converts technical FinTech client information and deep Custodian platform knowledge into compelling business context and advice for Invesco field sales teams.
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
- Handles complex assignments requiring significant initiative and independent judgment to determine appropriate courses of action within established goals and objectives.
- Uses concepts and abilities from previous financial services sales, strategic accounts, and RIA experience to solve complex problems creatively and effectively.
- Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt different points of view.
Pay
The salary range for this position in New York, NY is $130,000 - $150,000 base per year. Total compensation includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Schedule
Full-time. Employees are expected to comply with Invesco’s Workplace Policy, which includes spending at least four full days each week working in an Invesco office.
