Strategic Account Executive - Texas
About the role
The Major Account Executive (MAE) represents the ICU Medical business portfolio with key IDN customers to drive sales and build strategic relationships. They expand business opportunities and maximize contract values by aligning multiple business units with the goals and initiatives of the IDN. The MAE must demonstrate consultative selling, executive presence, creative solution development, team selling, and strong financial, technical, and contractual proficiency to negotiate complex business relationships.
Responsibilities
- Achieve all sales quotas and objectives through strategic business plans for target customers.
- Establish and maintain relationships at the Executive level through access, meetings, and business discussions with customers.
- Understand customers' goals, initiatives, challenges, purchasing/contracting processes, and timelines for large, strategic projects.
- Understand and leverage product/business unit synergies and the value proposition of the broad ICU Medical portfolio.
- Incorporate broad portfolio team as needed based on customer initiatives and ICU Medical organizational goals, including strategic directives for customer engagement and next steps.
- Understand and proficiently navigate ICU Medical contract structures, assess customer contract compliance, and evaluate overall performance.
- Be familiar with competitive contracts/selling strategies, opportunities, and potential pitfalls across the competitive landscape.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of medical sales experience, with 5 years in pharmacy interfacing sales for disposables.
- Proven track record of meeting quota/growth in territory and developing existing customer relationships.
