Straightener Operator - 2nd or 3rd shift

About the role

The Straightener position at Avalign involves straightening parts and ensuring their straightness according to customer requirements. This role operates on a 2nd shift schedule at our facility in Warsaw, IN.

Responsibilities

• Strengthening parts per customer requirements
• Checking orders in Straightening area for paperwork accuracy, verifying count, and moving to next location
• Following urgent needs jobs through the straightening area to guarantee delivery
• Running production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Maintaining production quality to customer requirements
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed
• Reporting key job status to Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
• Cross training in other finishing areas
• Complying with all company policies and procedures
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work with a sense of urgency
• Read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed
• Good interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs
• Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
