About the role
Drives straight truck to designated locations and operates mechanized loading/unloading equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months of FedEx Express experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Neat appearance (customer contact required)
- Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance
Job Conditions
- Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
- Non-covered safety-sensitive position
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Preferred Qualifications
FedEx Express experience and a valid driver’s license.
Pay
$24.81 per hour.
