Requirements

  • Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Candidates should have one or two years of experience working with and/or providing for individuals who live at home and have had one of the following: stroke, concussions, brain injury, TBI.
  • Present a letter from a person and/or employer verifying experience.
  • Car, driver’s license and insurance.
  • High-school and/or GED graduate.

Qualifications

  • Supporting clients with all aspects of home and community life.
  • Ensuring consistent safety.
  • Providing a healthy and professional friendship.
  • Personal hygiene and dressing assistance.
  • Scheduling, attending and reporting on medical and therapeutic appointments.
  • Shopping, cooking, and cleaning with the client.
  • Organizing consistent exercise, socialization, and entertainment.

A.B.I. RESOURCES provides home-based disability support services across Connecticut. Our team members support clients with all aspects of home and community life, ensuring consistent safety, providing a healthy and professional friendship, assisting with personal hygiene and dressing, scheduling and attending medical and therapeutic appointments, shopping, cooking, and cleaning, and organizing consistent exercise, socialization, and entertainment.
