About the Role
A Stormwater Engineer supports stormwater project development, including planning, designing, permitting, and managing stormwater BMPs, conveyance systems, and related infrastructure. They collaborate with experienced water professionals, interact with clients, and contribute to sustainability and resilience initiatives. The role involves hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, report preparation, and ensuring project compliance with safety and quality standards. The engineer may assist during construction through site visits, review of drawings, and RFIs. They utilize digital tools like SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, and Augmented Reality to enhance project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support stormwater projects and modeling
- Coordinate data and resources for hydrologic/hydraulic analyses
- Contribute to reports, presentations, and client meetings
- Ensure project adherence to standards and safety protocols
- Assist during construction and site visits as needed
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
Skills
- Preferred: project leadership, construction observation, client management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit
- Advanced degrees (preferred)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Digital skills (SharePoint, BIM, Power BI, Augmented Reality)
- Willingness to travel for site visits and client interactions
