Storeroom/Warehouse Clerk

The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia, has an immediate opening for a Storeroom/Warehouse Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Ensure best inventory practices are maintained, including spot checks and periodic inventory audits as well as cost control measures
• Oversee the receiving and stocking of storeroom items
• Ensure receiving paperwork is filed in a timely manner
• Report directly to the Storeroom Supervisor
• Determine inventory stock levels
• Perform other duties as required
• Assist other employees
• Keep up with inventory daily

Requirements

• Working knowledge of mechanical/industrial products and good analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop a cooperative work relationship with employees and vendors, both internally and externally
• Previous experience with inventory database systems, setup, and management is a plus
• Forklift certification (Training provided by SWVA to be certified during employment)
• Wearing metatarsal steel-toe boots
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to be on your feet most of the time
• Ability to climb stairs, stock, and restock

Schedule

This position is a 4-day on, 4-day off shift and each shift is a 12-hour shift.
