Headquartered in Stamford, CT, Harvest Hill operates a nationwide network of manufacturing and distribution facilities, employing over 1,000 people in the United States. This position is located onsite 5 days a week in Verona, PA.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Order and inventory supplies for the maintenance, blow mold, and production departments.
- Manage plant maintenance (PM) work orders in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with coworkers, vendors, and others.
- Identify trends, abnormalities, and inefficiencies through accurate record keeping and analysis.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of equipment and parts.
- Maintain inventory in multiple storerooms.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and GMP rules and regulations.
- Ensure all tasks and functions are performed safely and in compliance with procedures.
- Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority if unable to initiate action.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to meet customer specifications and maintain food safety, quality, and process efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to attend all job-related training classes to increase job knowledge and improve performance.
- Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures and customer specifications.
- Effective communication skills, including presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Basic mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts using a calculator.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Working knowledge of modern computer systems, including typing at a reasonable speed and familiarity with CMMS and work order systems.
- No specific certificates, licenses, or registrations required.
- Occasional travel may be required for off-site training and meetings.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
