About the role
The Storeroom Department oversees inventory, receiving, mail, couriers, and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate supply distribution and efficient service across sites. It manages staff, maintains records, enforces safety standards, and coordinates vendor relations to support hospital needs.
Under the general supervision of the Distribution Manager and within established hospital and department policies and procedures, this position is based at the Cambridge Hospital campus but will float to the Somerville campus to cover vacations and sick leave. The employee performs various checking, receiving, and delivery duties in the handling of incoming and outgoing supplies, furniture, equipment, and materials. When assigned to Somerville, mail duties will also be part of the role.
Essential job functions focus on customer satisfaction, effective use of resources, teamwork, innovation, and continuous quality improvement. Some knowledge of computers for receiving purposes is required. The work environment supports all areas of the hospital.
Responsibilities

- Cover mail duties when assigned to the Somerville campus.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.

Schedule
- Hours: 20 hours per week.
- Shift: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM (4-hour shift).
