Storeroom Attendant

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive all food and beverage deliveries in a timely and organized manner
  • Verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices for accuracy
  • Inspect products for quality, damage, and proper temperature upon arrival
  • Report any discrepancies, shortages, or quality concerns to a supervisor
  • Properly label, date, and store all items following FIFO (First In, First Out) standards
  • Stock and organize all culinary storage areas, including dry storage, coolers, and freezers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of receiving and storage areas at all times
  • Deliver products to appropriate kitchen outlets and departments promptly
  • Communicate with culinary team members regarding deliveries, substitutions, or shortages
  • Aid in inventory counts and support stock rotation efforts
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of low or depleted items
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of perishable goods
  • Maintain a safe working environment, including proper lifting and equipment use
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
  • Ability to work in varying environments, including refrigerated and freezer areas
  • Basic math and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, or a hospitality/culinary environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices (e.g., proper storage, labeling, FIFO) preferred

About the Role

The Storeroom Attendant is a vital role that supports our entire culinary operation. This role is responsible for supporting the daily receipt, organization, and distribution of all food and beverage deliveries. This role ensures that incoming products are accurately checked, properly stored, and delivered to the appropriate kitchen or storage areas in a timely and organized manner.
