Responsibilities
- Pick up cash box at reception desk when coming on duty.
- Put cash in the register.
- Get ice to be used in the General Store and empty the chest at the end of the day.
- Keep store neat and clean throughout the day (including wiping off tables, counter areas, soda machines, ice cream freezer and lids).
- Stock soda, chips, candy, cookies, and other items and make sure that they remain stocked at all times.
- Wipe off tables, counter areas, soda machines, ice cream freezer and lids to ensure cleanliness.
- Put out napkins, straws, and cups as needed.
- Dispose all garbage as needed.
- Put clothes rack in hall for display purposes.
- Wait on all residents, staff, and visitors.
- Count the money in the drawer at the end of your shift and fill out the daily cash report (pink sheet).
- Turn all checks to accounting with the daily cash report.
- If there are too many large bills, leave a note for accounting for change.
- Fill out all necessary paperwork including daily cash report (pink sheet) and the white half sheet, payroll deducts, resident charge tickets.
Qualifications
- Must be attending and complete classes to obtain a high school diploma or GED or have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Must have the ability to feel, hear, see, and smell.
- Must be able to lift loads in excess of 25 lbs and do physical labor that consists of balancing, crouching, fingering, grasping, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, and stooping.
