Store Team Member-Daytime/Weekday (Cashier, Stocker, Animal Care)
About the Role
We are currently looking for daytime Team Members for mostly weekdays and some weekends if available. This role offers flexible schedules, career advancement opportunities, and a great employee discount program.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, neighborly service, including helping neighbors select pet products (e.g., toys, food, harnesses).
- Educate customers on pet ownership and care (e.g., bird ownership for a sixth grader).
- Stock shelves and ring up purchases.
- Feed and care for in-store pets, ensuring their habitats are clean and well-maintained.
- Specialize in one or more areas, such as:
- Cashier: Process purchases accurately, provide Preferred Pet Club membership information, and ensure neighbors receive outstanding offers.
- Stocker: Safely unload delivery trucks, stock shelves, and assist neighbors with carrying purchases to their cars.
- Pet Care: Clean habitats, feed animals, handle pets, and answer neighbors’ questions about animal care.
The role can be physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting (40-65 lbs.) and standing for long periods.
Requirements
- Passion for people and pets, with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to support teammates by acting as backup when needed.
- Knowledge of animals and products to assist neighbors effectively.
- Must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and be at least 16 years old.

Pay
Hourly pay ranges from USD $11.41 to $12.41.
